It is with great sadness to inform participants that the Phoenix Carrera de los Muertos event to be held on October 29, 2016 has been canceled.
The attendance numbers are not high enough to sustain the cost of the event and for that reason alone we cannot move forward. We realize this may be a disappointment to you and we are equally disappointed. Our team has been working hard for the last six months to produce this event and this was not an easy decision.
Your entry to the 5k is being transferred to the Virtual Race, which means that you will receive your race package in the mail. You can run your 5k anywhere you choose and any time you choose. The Virtual Race package includes the Carrera de los Muertos t-shirt, bib and finisher medal. We are also including the Carrera de los Muertos Bandana in each package as a thank you for your interest in the event.
*If you purchased a bandana or used the discount code to receive a bandana we will add a pair of Carrera de los Muertos socks to your Virtual Race package.
All merchandise and virtual race packages will be mailed on October 25th, 2016.
Did you purchase your registration from Groupon or Living Social?
All third party purchases will be refunded. Please allow five to ten business days for the refund to appear in your account.

We encourage you to attend the Dia de los Muertos festival on October 23, 2016 at Steele Indian Park. This free event is produced by the Cultural Coalition and features live music, dancing and activities from 1:00pm – 6:00pm.
